Amid the COVID-19 crisis, Calvary is committed to staying open 24/7 to provide a home for women who need it, and to keep their residents (and our DC community) safe!
The women that Calvary serves are among our community's most vulnerable - they may be survivors of trauma, in recovery from substance addiction, living with mental illness or chronic health conditions - and now many have, unfortunately, lost their jobs at hotels, restaurants, and other service industries.
Calvary is providing emergency services that are especially critical NOW! To protect our residents, staff and the community, we had to postpone our biggest fundraiser of the year AND temporarily suspend our volunteer programs.
Although we can't gather in person for the Hope Awards Dinner this May, the need is ever, and increasingly, present. That's why I'm inviting you to join me, virtually, as we Hold on to Hope! Will you make a gift today to Calvary’s Urgent Needs Fund to help sustain Calvary’s vital, lifesaving programs through this crisis?
Overall additional expenses for Calvary during this crisis will cost about $1,000 each day. These expenses include:
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for Calvary Women's Services, Inc.
Thank you for supporting Calvary and our community!
Stay safe and stay well!
