Amid the COVID-19 crisis, Calvary Women's Services is committed to staying open 24/7 to provide a home for women who need it, and to keep those women - and our DC community - safe.
The women that Calvary serves are among our community's most vulnerable. They may be survivors of domestic violence, in recovery from substance addiction, or living with mental illness. Over half of the women we serve are over the age of 50, and many live with chronic illnesses like asthma, diabetes, or hypertension. And now many have lost their jobs at hotels, restaurants, and other service industries, just as they were working to end their homelessness.
Calvary is providing emergency services that are especially critical right now. At the same time, we have had to suspend our volunteer program and cancel our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Hope Awards Dinner. We need your support now more than ever.
You can make a difference. Will you make a gift today to Calvary’s Urgent Needs Fund to help sustain Calvary’s vital programs through this crisis? You gift can save women's lives.
